The Jury

Pierre Sanoussi-Bliss is a German author, actor and director. He attended the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin. He was a member of the ensemble at the Staatsschauspiel Dresden and guest roles took him to Berlin’s Deutsches Theater, Bad Hersfeld and Salzburg, where he worked under the direction of Thomas Langhoff and Peter Stein.
In cinema, he played one of the leading roles in Doris Dörrie’s award-winning comedy ‘Keiner liebt mich’ (Nobody Loves Me), but became known to millions of viewers mainly through his role as Inspector Axel Richter in the ZDF series ‘Der Alte’ (The Old Man), which he played for 18 years. For his direction and screenplay of the film Zurück auf Los!, in which he also plays the leading role, he was nominated for an award at the Emden International Film Festival, among others.
Sanoussi-Bliss also narrates audiobooks, such as ‘Was machen wir jetzt?’ (What shall we do now?) by Doris Dörrie and his own highly acclaimed children’s book ‘Der Nix’ (The Nix), published in 2017. In 2017, Sanoussi-Bliss completed his second feature-length film, ‘Weiber! – Schwestern teilen. Alles.’ (Women! Sisters share. Everything.), , for which he was responsible for the production, screenplay and direction. ‘Weiber!’ has been shown at 22 international festivals, won 7 awards and is now available to stream on alleskino.de. Sanoussi-Bliss took part in ‘Ich bin ein Star, holt mich hier raus!’ in 2025 and came second as a finalist.
